After one year attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA, a semester at Pasadena City College, and six months active duty in the Marine Corp, I attended USC, majoring in accounting and graduating in January, 1967. It was a great experience and I'll always be Proud to be a Trojan.
The Traveler.
The history of USC in less than 4 minutes – including (as it happened) the emergence of an Irish Catholic founder and California Governor, John Downey, who has a town in Los Angeles that bears his name.
Along with Ozro W. Childs and Isaias W. Hellman, John Downey was one of the original men of Troy.
The Duke was a Sigma Chi who played football at USC.
There's a certain electricity in the Trojan air.
As "Time" offered up a momentary, but significant accolade.
Many thanks for the YouTube History video, the bio on John Downey and the Time Cover to the website of the University of Southern California: www.usc.edu.
