Both the "Home" and the Hospital . . .

. . . and everything in between.

Besides the "Mother/Baby" Home, the County Home also had wards for the elderly.  One floor for women and a separate floor for men. Even married couples had to stay on separate floors. Above is a one of the nuns who worked in the elderly wards.

This is a picture of one of the nurses who worked in the Mother/Baby Home.  Pictured to her right is Joe Gallagher (age 2). Joe's story will be told in more detail in the 2nd Edition of Inmate 651.

These two pictures show some of the elderly men who were housed in the men's ward.
